What to Expect on a Sunday

On Sundays we gather as a community for music and teaching. Our gathering
starts at 10:30, but people are present in the building earlier than that. Come
anytime between 10:15 and 10:30. It is a fairly casual atmosphere.

People are greeted at the door by a friendly usher, who gives out a bulletin (a page
with news and worship service information on it), and indicate a place to sit, if you
wish. Many people prefer to find their own seat and that is totally okay. But the
ushers can also help you find one.

The worship service begins when a leader welcomes people, and shares some
announcements. We sing some songs and during this time people sit or stand as
they are comfortable. After the singing the children leave for an age appropriate
class. For more on our care for children, see How We Welcome Children

Next is teaching based on the Bible. After this teaching, we sing another song and
close this part of the service with prayer. Then people gather for an informal time of
chatting or connecting over coffee or juice in the fellowship hall.

The service and socializing normally lasts about one hour and forty-five minutes.
